This home was designed with a heavy emphasis on green building practices. Intended for a family of four, the footprint was kept small so as to minimize material use and energy consumption. The building’s orientation and shape were designed to take full advantage of solar access, prevailing winds, and views, and are intended to become an armature for a green roof, green walls, a rainwater collection system, and photovoltaic and solar hot water panels.
